{"id":11016,"date":"2023-06-14T11:02:32","date_gmt":"2023-06-14T15:02:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/?p=11016"},"modified":"2023-06-14T11:28:00","modified_gmt":"2023-06-14T15:28:00","slug":"leadership-change-at-ciraig","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/index.php\/news\/leadership-change-at-ciraig\/","title":{"rendered":"Leadership Change at CIRAIG\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Anne-Marie Boulay<\/strong> is appointed Deputy Director General of CIRAIG and will succeed R\u00e9jean Samson<\/li><li><strong>R\u00e9jean Samson<\/strong> will retire at the end of 2023<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CIRAIG is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/index.php\/team\/anne-marie-boulay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Anne-Marie Boulay<\/a> as&nbsp;Deputy Director&nbsp;General of the International Reference Center for Life Cycle Assessment and Sustainable Transition&nbsp;(CIRAIG). Professor&nbsp;Boulay will succeed <a href=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/index.php\/team\/rejean-samson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">R\u00e9jean Samson<\/a> on January 1st, 2024, as General Director of the CIRAIG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Associate Professor\u00a0at Polytechnique Montreal, <strong>Anne-Marie Boulay<\/strong> holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University (2006) as well as a doctorate from Polytechnique Montreal (2013) on the evaluation of impacts of water use in life cycle analysis.\u00a0CIRAIG member since 2008, she specializes in LCA impact assessment. She chaired the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wulca-waterlca.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WULCA<\/a> working group of UN Environmen Programme (UNEP) and Life Cycle Initiative which led to a consensus\u00a0on water footprint methodologies. She then went on to\u00a0co-found the <a href=\"https:\/\/marilca.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MarILCA<\/a> group (UNEP and Forum for Sustainability through Life Cycle Innovation (FSLCI)) in 2018 which\u00a0develops plastic waste impact models in LCA.
