Co-founder of CIRAIG in 2001, R\u00e9jean has been leading the organization since its beginning.&nbsp;His leadership has played a crucial role in shaping CIRAIG&#8217;s journey and establishing it as a pioneer in life cycle assessment and sustainability research. We are deeply grateful for his dedication and wish him a retirement filled with new adventures and accomplishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simultaneously, we warmly welcome Anne-Marie Boulay, Associate Professor at Polytechnique Montr\u00e9al, as the new General Director of CIRAIG, effective January 1, 2024. Chemical engineering graduate, her research focuses on the development and harmonization of impact assessment methods in LCA. She holds the Canada Research Chair in Impacts of Plastics in the Environment and co-chairs the international scientific working group&nbsp;MarILCA. Anne-Marie brings extensive experience in life cycle assessment, and under her guidance, we are confident that CIRAIG will continue to evolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:35% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anne-Marie-Boulay.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11693 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anne-Marie-Boulay.jpg 800w, https:\/\/ciraig.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anne-Marie-Boulay-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ciraig.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anne-Marie-Boulay-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/ciraig.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Anne-Marie-Boulay-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>\u201c<em>I come to this role with a deep sense of responsibility and excitement.
