{"id":7900,"date":"2021-10-04T10:53:30","date_gmt":"2021-10-04T14:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/?p=7900"},"modified":"2021-10-04T19:45:48","modified_gmt":"2021-10-04T23:45:48","slug":"three-ciraig-students-laureats-of-a-scientific-communication-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/index.php\/news\/three-ciraig-students-laureats-of-a-scientific-communication-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"Three CIRAIG students laureats of the student scientific communication contest &#8220;Valorisez les sciences!&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last Friday, prizes were awarded to the winners of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ise.uqam.ca\/etudiants\/concours-vulgarisation\/\">scientific communication contest<\/a> organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/ise.uqam.ca\/\">Institut des sciences environnementales de l&#8217;UQ\u00c0M (ISE-UQAM)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/riisq.ca\/\">R\u00e9seau inondations intersectoriel du Qu\u00e9bec (RIISQ)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cirodd.org\/\">Centre interdisciplinaire de recherche en op\u00e9rationalisation du d\u00e9veloppement durable (CIRODD)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/risuq.uquebec.ca\/\">R\u00e9seau intersectoriel de recherche en sant\u00e9 de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec (RISUQ)<\/a>. The contest invited students to submit media that would communicate contemporary socio-ecological issues where the theme was &#8220;Intersectoral ways to understand, act and transform&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first prize was awarded <a href=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/index.php\/fr\/team\/catherine-lalonge-2\/\">Catherine Lalong\u00e9<\/a> (M. Sc. Environnement, UQAM) and <a href=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/index.php\/fr\/team\/lysanne-blais-gingras-2\/\">Lysanne Blais-Gingras<\/a> (M. Sc. Gestion, UQAM). The students wrote a blog post and created a pamphlet to communicate the life cycle impacts of grocery bags.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><meta charset=\"utf-8\">In addition to winning first prize, the jury also offered Catherine and Lysanne the CIRODD thematic prize in operationnalization of sustainability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div data-wp-interactive=\"core\/file\" class=\"wp-block-file\"><object data-wp-bind--hidden=\"!state.hasPdfPreview\" hidden class=\"wp-block-file__embed\" data=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cycle-de-vie-des-sacs-demplettes-a\u0300-la-croise\u0301e-des-disciplines_Billet-de-blog_Concours-2021-1.pdf\" type=\"application\/pdf\" style=\"width:100%;height:600px\" aria-label=\"Embed of Embed of Cycle-de-vie-des-sacs-demplettes-a\u0300-la-croise\u0301e-des-disciplines_Billet-de-blog_Concours-2021-1..\"><\/object><a href=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cycle-de-vie-des-sacs-demplettes-a\u0300-la-croise\u0301e-des-disciplines_Billet-de-blog_Concours-2021-1.pdf\">Cycle-de-vie-des-sacs-demplettes-a\u0300-la-croise\u0301e-des-disciplines_Billet-de-blog_Concours-2021-1<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Cycle-de-vie-des-sacs-demplettes-a\u0300-la-croise\u0301e-des-disciplines_Billet-de-blog_Concours-2021-1.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download>Download<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second prize was awarded ex-aequo to <a href=\"https:\/\/ciraig.org\/index.php\/fr\/team\/ivan-viveros-santos-2\/\">Ivan Viveros-Santos<\/a> (PhD en g\u00e9nie chimique, Polytechnique Montr\u00e9al). Ivan created a Github webpage titled <a href=\"https:\/\/iviveros.github.io\/2021_etudiant_vulg_sci\/\">&#8220;Quel vin fera-t-il demain ?
