Life cycle assessment analyst / sustainability expert

The CIRAIG is seeking to fill full-time positions of life cycle assessment analyst/senior analyst for its office located at Polytechnique Montréal campus (Canada). The analyst will carry out life cycle assessment projects applied to various sectors, material and energy flow analysis and development of databases, tools and metrics applied to various industrial sectors and problematics through research projects, industrial and governmental contracts, etc. to support our partners in their sustainability efforts. 

Application for an MSc/PhD Position - Quantifying ocean-related impact pathways in Life Cycle Assessment

CIRAIG invites applications for a MSc or PhD scholarship at Polytechnique Montréal in the field of marine biology, oceanography or similar to develop and quantify the impact pathway mechanisms associated with the marine environment in a life cycle impact assessment framework.The MSc/PhD candidate will be working in close collaboration with leading experts in impact assessment. Moreover, there are rich opportunities to establish ties with external collaborators and organize internships with academic partners of the project.

Master project - Which futures for transportation could respect planetary boundaries?

The CIRAIG is looking for a Master’s student interested in environmental issues and mobility to carry out a project on the impact of the transport sector in the context of planetary boundaries. This internship aims to quantitatively examine the environmental performance of different carbon-neutral trajectories for the transportation sector on a global scale.  This aims to identify trends to follow for evolving within the framework of planetary boundaries or returning to it, as six out of nine planetary boundaries have already been crossed.

The analyst will carry out life cycle assessment projects applied to various sectors, material and energy flow analysis and development of databases, tools and metrics applied to various industrial sectors and problematics through research projects, industrial and governmental contracts, etc. to support our partners in their sustainability efforts.
