Matthieu Souttre holds a Master’s degree in General Engineering from École Centrale de Lille in France. This program trains versatile engineers capable of addressing current and emerging scientific and technological challenges. During his studies, Matthieu specialized in Electrical and Electronic Engineering as well as Ecodesign.
He pursued with a two year Master of Science and Technology in Energy at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland. This internationally renowned multidisciplinary program prepares students to develop future technologies in the field of energy engineering. Matthieu chose to focus on Energy Management and Sustainability.
In 2023, Matthieu began a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal in Canada. His doctoral research aims to integrate Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology into Energy System Models. He plans to work on the analysis of critical materials involved in the energy transition, as well as the evaluation of the robustness of local planning decisions in light of international policy developments.
