David Zenhäusern holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Lausanne and a Master’s degree in Industrial Ecology from the Universities of Leiden and Delft. His academic career led him to specialize in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Material Flow Analysis (MFA) and carbon footprinting. His master’s thesis explored regional differences in material footprints associated with Decent Living Standards, at the interface between AFM and LCA approaches.
David joined the CIRAIG in 2024 as part of his civil service, before being hired as an analyst in early 2025. He is active on European projects (Horizon Europe) and industrial mandates. Based at the HES-SO Valais-Wallis and the EPFL in Sion (Switzerland), his work focuses mainly on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon footprints.
