Education and interests

Interested in life cycle assessment, sustainability, and balance in all aspects of life, Han holds a bachelor degree in Engineering science – Chemical Engineering with a minor in Materials Engineering from KU Leuven, obtained in 2018. He also holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from KU Leuven (Belgium) as well as a M. Sc. in chemical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, obtained in 2021. He joined the CIRAIG during his master’s where his research work, under the supervision of Guillaume Majeau-Bettez, was conducted on automatic rebalancing of the iron flows in the ecoinvent LCA database. He is currently finishing his PhD, under the supervision of Guillaume Majeau-Bettez, automatically rebalancing all material flows and compositions in ecoinvent.

2024 – Merit scholarship program for foreign students (PBEEE) from the Fonds de Recherche du Québec. $20334

2019 – Generic grant KU Leuven. Received a €4000 grant from the flemish government for involvement and exchange.
