Franziska Rehle

Franziska studied environmental engineering at the University of Stuttgart, the University of Western Australia, and RWTH Aachen University. Before joining CIRAIG and Polytechnique Montreal for her doctoral research, she conducted research on the mechanical recycling of post-consumer polyethylene waste at the Department of Industrial and Materials Science at Chalmers University of Technology.

Her research interests are around waste and resource management, in particular on the valorisation of plastic waste. Through her participation in several research projects as an early-career researcher, she gained experience in waste characterisation and the management of organic and plastic waste. She also developed expertise in material flow analysis (MFA), life cycle assessment (LCA), and input-output analysis (IOA).
