Mattia Zimmermann completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution. He is carrying out his Master’s thesis and internship at CIRAIG, where he works on adapting the EnergyScope Transition model to the Québec context by developing an hourly representation of energy demand and analyzing the impact of temporal resolution and uncertainties on system configuration, costs, and emissions.
