Marie Lourioux is a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, conducting her research within the CIRAIG under the supervision of Professors Guillaume Majeau-Bettez and Manuele Margni.
She earned two Master’s degrees in 2025: a Master of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, and an Engineering Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Institut Mines-Télécom Nord Europe (France). She also holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the same institution, obtained in 2020.
Her research focuses on the impacts of resource use and the challenges related to critical materials in the context of a sustainable transition. Through her master’s research project, she gained experience in Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) and resource use impact modelling.
