Kassem Ibrahim Al Houssaini is a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at CIRAIG–Polytechnique Montréal. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the American University of Beirut, graduating with distinction and receiving several awards for academic excellence and leadership. His doctoral research explores sustainable pathways for residual biomass valorization, combining process engineering with environmental and economic evaluation using process parametrization, life cycle assessment, and techno-economic tools.
